Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we'd want answered: what it costs, what happens to your child's data, and what KONI is not.

KONI is a Montessori curriculum and guidance system for the adult raising the child. You note what you observe; KONI holds the sequence, prepares the week, and explains the reason behind every lesson it suggests. Your child works with real materials, never with a screen.

Parents, grandparents, nannies and homeschooling families — anyone bringing Montessori into a home rather than a classroom. No previous training is assumed: KONI explains its reasoning as it goes.

You note what you notice, in your own words. KONI reads it against the Montessori sequence and suggests what may come next, following the work your child has already done and the observations you record rather than their age alone. You decide what actually happens; the record fills in as it does.

No. KONI is designed for adults. You use KONI to plan, observe, and track—your child engages with real-world materials and activities in your prepared environment. KONI never requires or encourages child screen time.

Ages 2½–6, across Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Cultural. The onboarding age check refuses children outside that band rather than selling you something KONI cannot serve well.

None. KONI explains what it suggests in plain language, and the Guide Hub teaches the ideas underneath in five-minute pieces as you go. If you are trained, you'll recognise the sequence and can move faster. KONI is not Montessori training: it confers no credential and is no substitute for AMI, AMS or any recognised training course.

Only what you choose to enter: a first name, an age range, interests, and the observations you write. KONI keeps a record of which lessons were offered, practiced and mastered, because that is what shapes the next suggestion — and it goes nowhere else. Your family is never tracked across the web, never profiled for advertising, and never sold. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and you can export or delete it whenever you want.

Yes — privacy comes first at KONI. Your family's data is never sold and never used for advertising. The one carefully-controlled exception: if you choose to use KONI's AI guidance and give per-child consent, we share limited profile details (like age range and interests) with OpenAI to personalize the guidance — our Privacy Policy lists exactly what's shared, and you can withdraw consent anytime. KONI is designed for COPPA alignment, and you stay in full control of your information.

There's no permanently free tier, and there's no checkout open yet either. We're inviting our first families in small groups, so today you apply as a Pioneer — that costs nothing and takes a minute. When your invitation arrives you get a 7-day free trial, which asks for a card, and then you choose a plan.

The whole thing: the lesson library, the week's plan with the reason behind every lesson, observations, printables, the materials list, the Guide Hub, and a record for each child in the family. One plan covers every child.

Yes, once you're invited. Pioneers get a 7-day trial of the whole product, not a sample of it. It asks for a card at the start, charges nothing that day, and you can cancel any time before it ends.

Apply as a Pioneer — it takes a minute and asks for no card. When your invitation arrives, you'll add your child, answer a few questions about their age and interests, and KONI prepares a first week you can change however you like.
